Catalina Sarria

Hi there!

I'm Catalina (She/Her), Colombian physicist and software developer.

I am a graduated physicist of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a Student of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Quantum Technologies and Engineering programme. I have also worked as a software developer in many engineering projects.

About Me

Hi! My name is Catalina Sarria and I go by She/Her pronouns. I'm a physicist and software developer. I have always loved to know how the world works, specially the quantum world. My dream as a child was to become a great scientist. I have achieved this dream working in the FENYX-UN research group in particle physics at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, researching particle decays and physics beyond the standard model in collaboration with the LHCb and ATLAS experiments.

I have also developed a great interest in programming. I have worked as software development in several areas, developing data analysis packages as well as web applications.

Now I am part of the Erasmus Mundus Master in Quantum Technologies and Engineering programme where I am working in both of my passions all together, quantum physics and software.
